Frequently asked questions

What must be done before opening the server chassis?

Power must be disconnected and the server should be turned off for at least one minute before moving or opening the chassis.

How can a no‑display condition on boot be resolved?

Check that the power indicator is on, verify that the monitor, keyboard and mouse are correctly connected, and ensure the system fan is running; if not, power off, reseat cables, and restart.

How do you replace the motherboard battery?

Turn off the server, disconnect the power cable, open the chassis, remove the old battery, insert a new battery of the same type with the positive side outward, then reassemble and reconnect power.

Why does the hard‑disk capacity shown in Windows differ from the rated capacity?

Windows uses a binary (1024) calculation while manufacturers use decimal (1000), causing the displayed capacity to be lower; hidden partitions and RAID overhead further reduce visible space.
