About this manual

The LTC 8780 series data converter unit is an accessory that translates Allegiant dual‑phase control codes into RS‑232 signals and can also perform the reverse conversion. It supports traditional RS‑232 media such as modems, fiber or microwave links and includes a signal‑distribution function capable of driving up to 120 receiver/driver devices.

The unit can be wired in star or daisy‑chain configurations, with each of its 15 outputs capable of driving eight receivers. Using 1 mm (18 AWG) shielded twisted pair (e.g., Belden 8760) the maximum transmission distance is 1.5 km (5000 ft). The manual provides installation, configuration, and technical specifications for the LTC 8780/50 and LTC 8780/60 models. This manual is written in Chinese.
