Analog Devices AD594/AD595 Monolithic Thermocouple Amplifiers Specification Sheet

The AD594/AD595 is a complete instrumentation amplifier and thermocouple cold junction compensator on a monolithic chip. It combines an ice point reference with a precalibrated amplifier to produce a high level (10 mV/°C) output directly from a thermocouple signal.

About this manual

The AD594 (type J) and AD595 (type K) integrate cold‑junction compensation, amplification, and an output buffer in a single IC. They provide a low‑impedance 10 mV/°C voltage output directly from the thermocouple signal and include a thermocouple failure alarm with TTL drive capability.

Both devices operate from a single‑ended supply (+5 V to 30 V) or dual supplies, supporting temperature measurement from 0 °C to +50 °C (stand‑alone thermometer mode) and can be recalibrated for other thermocouple types using external resistors.
