The LTC1698 is a precision secondary-side forward converter controller that synchronously drives external N-channel MOSFETs. It is designed for use with the LT3781 primary-side synchronous forward converter controller to create a completely isolated power supply. The LT3781 synchronizes the LTC1698 through a small pulse transformer and the LTC1698 drives a feedback optocoupler to close the feedback loop. Output accuracy of ±0.8% and high efficiency over a wide range of load currents are obtained. The LTC1698 provides accurate secondary-side current limit using an external current sense resistor. The input voltage at the MARGIN pin provides ±5% output voltage adjustment. A power good flag and overvoltage input are provided to ensure proper power supply conditions. An auxiliary 3.3V logic supply is included that supplies up to 10mA of output current.

SFH 608 is an optocoupler from Vishay Semiconductors with a very high current transfer ratio (CTR) and low input current, making it ideal for low current switching applications. The device is packaged in a six pin plastic DIP.

The CS8427 is a stereo digital audio transceiver with AES3 and serial digital audio inputs, AES3 and serial digital audio outputs, and includes comprehensive control ability through a 4-wire microcontroller port. Channel status and user data are assembled in block-sized buffers, making read/modify/write cycles easy. A low-jitter clock recovery mechanism yields a very clean recovered clock from the incoming AES3 stream. Target applications include A/V receivers, CD-R, DVD receivers, multimedia speakers, digital mixing consoles, effects processors, set-top boxes, and computer and automotive audio systems.

The LTC3716 is a 2-phase, VID programmable, synchronous step-down switching regulator controller that drives two N-channel external power MOSFET stages in a fixed frequency architecture. The 2-phase controller drives its two output stages out of phase at frequencies up to 300kHz to minimize the RMS ripple currents in both input and output capacitors. The 2-phase technique effectively multiplies the fundamental frequency by two, improving transient response while operating each channel at an optimum frequency for efficiency. Thermal design is also simplified. An operating mode select pin (FCB) can be used to regulate a secondary winding or select among three modes including Burst Mode TM operation for highest efficiency. An internal differential amplifier provides true remote sensing of the regulated supply’s positive and negative output terminals as required in high current applications. The RUN/SS pin provides soft-start and optional timed, short-circuit shutdown. Current foldback limits MOSFET dissipation during short-circuit conditions when the overcurrent latchoff is disabled. OPTI-LOOP compensation allows the transient response to be optimized for a wide range of output capacitors and ESR values.

ISL6269 is Intersil's Robust Ripple Regulator (R3) technology that delivers truly superior dynamic response to input voltage and output load transients. Integrated MOSFET drivers, 5V LDO and bootstrap diode result in fewer components and smaller implementation area.

This document introduces a range of socket adapters for PIC microcontrollers that are designed to fit any ZIF socket based programming platform and enhance these platforms to be able to program virtually the complete range of package styles available for the PIC microcontroller families. The range is modular in design and requires a base board and an adapter board to program almost any of the PIC12, PIC16 and PIC18 families. The base board fits into the ZIF socket of the programmer. There are two base boards available: Lew901 and LEW902. The former covers all devices from 20 pins downwards, and the latter covers all devices from 28 pins upwards. These base boards have quality board to board IDC connectors for rapid and reliable connection of the desired device package adapter top board. The top adapter boards are package type specific covering packages such as SO, TSSOP, SSOP, SN, SM, SL, PLCC, TQFP. All future package types will be supported on this platform as they are introduced and required by users. All users of programming platforms such as Microchip’s own ICD2, PICSTART PLUS, and Promate systems, plus specialist third party programmers such as BP Microsystems, DataIO, Stag, Dataman etc.. will find the adapter range an excellent low cost and reliable way to upgrade their system to program the full range of device package types the PIC micro comes in. Pin 1 location is clearly indicated on both base and top boards for er

MAX17019 is a high-input-voltage quad-output controller (up to 38V). It provides a compact, low-cost controller capable of providing four independent regulators—a main stage, a 3AP-P internal step-down, a 5AP-P internal step-down, and a 2A source/sink linear regulator. The input voltage is up to 38V. This makes it an excellent choice for automotive applications. The internal switching regulators include 5V synchronous MOSFETs that can be powered directly from a single Li+ cell or from the main 3.3V/5V power stages. Finally, the linear regulator is capable of sourcing and sinking 2A to support DDR termination requirements or to generate a fixed output voltage. The step-down converters use a peak current-mode, fixed-frequency control scheme—an easy to implement architecture that does not sacrifice fast-transient response. This architecture also supports peak current-limit protection and pulse-skipping operation to maintain high efficiency under light-load conditions. Separate enable inputs and independent open-drain power-good outputs allow flexible power sequencing. A soft-start function gradually ramps up the output volt- age to reduce the inrush current. Disabled regulators enter high-impedance states to avoid negative output voltage created by rapidly discharging the output through the low-side MOSFET. The MAX17019 also includes output undervoltage, output overvoltage, and thermal-fault protection. The MAX17019 is available in a 48-pin QFN package.
