MAX1040-MAX1049 is an integrated multichannel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a quad 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) in a single IC, also including a temperature sensor and configurable general-purpose I/O ports (GPIOs) with a 25MHz SPI™-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-compatible serial interface. The ADC is available in a 4 or an 8 input-channel version. The four DAC outputs settle within 2.0µs, and the ADC has a 300ksps conversion rate. All devices include an internal reference (2.5V or 4.096V) providing a well-regulated, low-noise reference for both the ADC and DAC. Programmable reference modes for the ADC and DAC allow the use of an internal reference, an external reference, or a combination of both. Features such as an internal ±1°C accurate temperature sensor, FIFO, scan modes, programmable internal or external clock modes, data averaging, and AutoShutdown™ allow users to minimize both power consumption and proces- sor requirements. The low glitch energy (4nV•s) and low digital feedthrough (0.5nV•s) of the integrated quad DACs make these devices ideal for digital control of fast-response closed-loop systems. The devices are guaranteed to operate with a supply volt- age from +2.7V to +3.6V (MAX1041/MAX1043/MAX1047/ MAX1049) and from +4.75V to +5.25V (MAX1040/ MAX1042/MAX1046/MAX1048). These devices consume 2.5mA at 300ksps throughput, only 22µA at 1ksps throughput, and under 0.2µA in the shutdown mode.

The MAX104 is a PECL-compatible, 1Gsps, 8-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that allows accurate digitizing of analog signals with bandwidths up to 2.2GHz. It is fabricated on Maxim's proprietary advanced GST-2 bipolar process, integrating a high-performance track/hold (T/H) amplifier and a quantizer on a single monolithic die. The innovative design of the internal T/H, which has an exceptionally wide 2.2GHz full-power input bandwidth, results in high performance (greater than 7.5 effective bits) at the Nyquist frequency. A fully differential comparator design and decoding circuitry reduce out-of-sequence code errors (thermometer bubbles or sparkle codes) and provide excellent metastable performance of one error per 1016 clock cycles. Unlike other ADCs that can have errors resulting in false full- or zero-scale outputs, the MAX104 limits the error magnitude to 1LSB. The analog input is designed for either differential or single-ended use with a ±250mV input voltage range. Dual, differential, PECL-compatible output data paths ensure easy interfacing and include an 8:16 demultiplexer feature that reduces output data rates to one-half the sampling clock rate. The PECL outputs can be operated from any supply between +3V to +5V for compatibility with +3.3V or +5V referenced systems. Control inputs are provided for interleaving additional MAX10

The MAX1038 evaluation kit is designed to evaluate the MAX1038. The MAX1038 is an 8-bit, 12-channel (six-differential-channel) ADC with a 2-wire serial interface. The MAX1038 EV kit board supports three standard 2-wire serial interface speeds: standard mode (S-Mode), fast mode (F-Mode), and high-speed mode (HS-Mode); however, the software provided with this EV kit only supports standard mode. The provided Windows 95/98® software uses the parallel (printer) port of an IBM-compatible PC to emulate a processor with a 2-wire serial interface (S-Mode). The Windows software also provides a friendly graphical user interface (GUI) to exercise the features of the MAX1038 with control buttons and pulldown menus.

The R1290 series are optimized DC/DC converter ICs for TFT LCD displays. Each of the R1290 series contains one PWM step-up DC/DC converter controller and two diode charge-pump controllers. The charge-pumps can control a boost output and a negative output and have the output voltage regulation function with external resistors. The power on sequence can be made with setting the delay time with external capacitors for each charge pump channel.
