MAXIM MAX3095/MAX3096 Manual
The MAX3095/MAX3096 are rugged, low-power, quad, RS-422/RS-485 receivers with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for use in harsh environments. All receiver inputs are protected to ±15kV using IEC 1000- 4-2 Air-Gap Discharge, ±8kV using IEC 1000-4-2 Contact Discharge, and ±15kV using the Human Body Model. The MAX3095 operates from a +5V supply, while the MAX3096 operates from a +3.3V supply. Receiver propagation delays are guaranteed to within ±8ns of a predetermined value, thereby ensuring device-to-device matching across production lots. Complementary enable inputs can be used to place the devices in a 1nA low-power shutdown mode in which the receiver outputs are high impedance. When active, these receivers have a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is open circuit. They also feature a quarter-unit-load input impedance that allows 128 receivers on a bus. The MAX3095/MAX3096 are pin-compatible, low-power upgrades to the industry-standard ’26LS32. They are available in a space-saving QSOP package.
MAXIM MAX3040 MAX3045 Manual
The MAX3040–MAX3045 is a family of 5V quad RS-485/RS-422 transmitters designed for digital data transmission over twisted-pair balanced lines. All transmitter outputs are protected to ±10kV using the Human Body Model. In addition the MAX3040–MAX3045 withstand ±4kV per IEC 1000-4-4 Electrical Fast Transient/Burst Stressing. The MAX3040/MAX3043 (250kbps) and the MAX3041/MAX3044 (2.5Mbps) are slew-rate limited transmitters that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, thus allowing error-free transmission. The MAX3040–MAX3045 feature a hot-swap capability that eliminates false transitions on the data cable during power-up or hot insertion. The MAX3042B/MAX3045B are optimized for data transfer rates up to 20Mbps, the MAX3041/MAX3044 for data rates up to 2.5Mbps, and the MAX3040/MAX3043 for data rates up to 250kbps. The MAX3040–MAX3045 offer optimum performance when used with the MAX3093E or MAX3095 5V quad differential line receivers or MAX3094E/MAX3096 3V quad differential line receivers. The MAX3040–MAX3045 are ESD-protected pin-compatible, low-power upgrades to the industry-standard ‘SN75174 and ‘DS26LS31C. They are available in space-saving TSSOP, narrow SO, and wide SO packages.
MAXIM MAX3480EA/MAX3480EB Manual
The MAX3480EA/MAX3480EB are electrically isolated RS-485/RS-422 data-communications interfaces. The RS-485/RS-422 I/O pins are protected against ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) shocks, without latchup. Transceivers, optocouplers, and a transformer are all included in one low-cost, 28-pin PDIP package. A single +3.3V supply on the logic side powers both sides of the interface. The MAX3480EB features reduced-slew-rate drivers that minimize EMI and reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission at data rates up to 160kbps. The MAX3480EA’s driver slew rate is not limited, allowing transmission rates up to 2.5Mbps. Drivers are short-circuit current limited and are protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver input has a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is open circuit. The MAX3480EA/MAX3480EB are guaranteed to withstand 1260VRMS (1min) or 1520VRMS (1s). Their isolated inputs and outputs meet RS-485/RS-422 specifications.

MAXIM MAX3362 Manual
The MAX3362 is a low-power, high-performance RS-485/RS-422 transceiver operating from a single +3.3V power supply. It can achieve data rates up to 20Mbps with an output skew of less than 6ns. The driver and receiver propagation delays are guaranteed below 50ns. This fast switching and low skew make the MAX3362 ideal for multidrop clock/data distribution applications.

MAXIM MAX1112/MAX1113 Manual
The MAX1112/MAX1113 are low-power, 8-bit, 8-chan- nel analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that feature an internal track/hold, voltage reference, clock, and serial interface. They operate from a single +4.5V to +5.5V supply and consume only 135µA while sampling at rates up to 50ksps. The MAX1112’s 8 analog inputs and the MAX1113’s 4 analog inputs are software-con- figurable, allowing unipolar/bipolar and single- ended/differential operation. Successive-approximation conversions are performed using either the internal clock or an external serial-inter- face clock. The full-scale analog input range is deter- mined by the 4.096V internal reference, or by an externally applied reference ranging from 1V to VDD. The 4-wire serial interface is compatible with the SPI™, QSPI™, and MICROWIRE™ serial-interface standards. A serial-strobe output provides the end-of-conversion signal for interrupt-driven processors. The MAX1112/MAX1113 have a software-program- mable, 2µA automatic power-down mode to minimize power consumption. Using power-down, the supply current is reduced to 13µA at 1ksps, and only 82µA at 10ksps. Power-down can also be controlled using the SHDN input pin. Accessing the serial interface automat- ically powers up the device. The MAX1112 is available in 20-pin SSOP and DIP packages. The MAX1113 is available in small 16-pin QSOP and DIP packages.
MAXIM MAX3460 MAX3464 handbook
The MAX3460-MAX3464 are high-speed differential bus transceivers for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. They are designed to meet TIA/EIA-422-B, TIA/EIA-485-A, V.11, and X.27 standards. The transceivers comply with the Profibus specification providing +2.1V output level with a 54Ω load, 20Mbps data rate, and output skew less than 2ns. Each transceiver contains one three-state differential line driver and one differential input line receiver. The devices operate from a +5V supply and feature true fail-safe circuitry, which guarantees a logic-high receiver output when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. This enables all receiver outputs on a terminated bus to output logic highs when all transmitters are disabled. All devices feature a 1/4 standard unit load receiver input impedance that allows 128 transceivers on the bus. Driver and receiver propagation delays are guaranteed under 20ns for multidrop, clock distribution applications. Drivers are short-circuit current limited and are protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry. The driver and receiver feature active-high and active-low enables, respectively, that can be connected together externally to serve as a direction control.

MAXIM MAX3430 handbook
The MAX3430 fault-protected RS-485 transceiver features ±80V protection from overvoltage signal faults on communication bus lines. Each device contains one driver and one receiver, and the output pins can withstand faults, with respect to ground, of up to ±80V. Even if the faults occur when the transceiver is active, shut down, or powered off, the device will not be damaged. The MAX3430 operates from a 3.3V supply and features a slew-rate-limited driver that minimizes EMI and reduces reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, allowing error-free data transmission at data rates up to 250kbps. The MAX3430 has a 1/4-unit-load receiver input impedance allowing up to 128 transceivers on a single bus and features fail-safe circuitry, which guarantees a logic-high receiver output when the receiver inputs are open. Hot-swap circuitry eliminates false transitions on the data cable during circuit initialization or connection to a live backplane. Short-circuit current limiting and thermal-shutdown circuitry protect the driver against excessive power dissipation. The MAX3430 is available in 8-pin SO and 8-pin PDIP packages, and is specified over commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
