MAXIM MAX3250 Manual(1)
The MAX3250 is a 3.0V to 5.5V powered, ±50V isolated EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 communications interface with high data-rate capabilities. The MAX3250 is a dual die part that operates with up to ±50V difference between the RS-232 side and the logic side (ISOCOM to GND). This makes the device ideal for operation in noisy conditions with high common-mode voltages. This feature prevents damage to the device if RS-232 lines are inadvertently short-circuited to a +24V or ±48V power bus. The MAX3250 is powered by a single 3V to 5.5V supply on the logic side. Power is transferred from the logic side to the isolated side by ±100V external capacitors. The MAX3250 has two receivers (Rx) and two drivers (Tx) and is guaranteed to run at data rates of 250kbps while maintaining RS-232 output levels. The trans- ceivers have a proprietary low-dropout transmitter out- put stage, delivering true RS-232 performance from a 3V to 5.5V supply with a dual charge pump. The device features a FAULT open-drain output to signal an exces- sive isolated-side voltage condition on any of the RS- 232 inputs. This output can drive an alarm LED or can be monitored by the processor to prevent operation under these conditions. The receiver outputs are high impedance in shutdown, allowing multiple interfaces (IrDA, RS-232, RS-485) to be connected to the same UART. The MAX3250 is available in a space-saving 28-pin SSOP package. Applications Industrial Control Programmable Logic Controller Point-to-Point Communication Data Acquisition

MAXIM MAX869L Manual
The MAX869L is a P-channel load switch with accurate user-set current limit and low on-resistance. It is designed to protect the power source from shorts and surges by limiting current and preventing the system supply from being pulled low. The input voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V. The MAX869L features a 2A, 45mΩ switch controlled by a logic signal. The current limit can be set from 400mA to 2.4A with ±21% accuracy using a single resistor. The device has a low quiescent supply current of 12µA, which reduces to a maximum of 2µA in shutdown. It also includes thermal shutdown protection and a logic signal output pin (FAULT) for indicating overcurrent or overtemperature conditions. For other devices in this family, please refer to the Selector Guide.
MAXIM MAX893L Manual
MAX893L is a high-side load switch from Maxim Integrated. It operates with input voltages from +2.7V to +5.5V and can continuously output up to 1.2A of current. The short-circuit current is limited to 1.8A. The switch features internal current-limiting circuitry and thermal overload protection.
MAXIM MAX1607 Manual
MAX1607 is a precise preset current-limited switch for USB applications. The switch has low quiescent supply current and standby current to conserve battery power in portable applications.
MAXIM MAX1823/MAX1823A/MAX1823B/MAX1823H handbook
The MAX1823 is a dual, current-limited switch with autoreset specifically made for USB applications. The autoreset feature latches the switch off if the output is shorted, saving system power. The switch reactivates when the short circuit is removed. Each channel is guar- anteed to supply 720mA and meet USB specifications. Low quiescent supply current (50µA) and standby current (3µA) conserve battery power in portable applications. The MAX1823 has multiple safety features to ensure that the USB port is protected. Built-in thermal-overload protection limits power dissipation and junction temper- ature. Accurate internal current-limiting circuitry pro- tects the input supply against both overload and short-circuit conditions. Independent fault signals (FAULTA and FAULTB) notify the microprocessor (µP) when a thermal-overload, current-limit, undervoltage- lockout (UVLO), or short-circuit fault occurs. A 20ms fault-blanking feature ignores momentary faults, such as those caused when hot swapping a capacitive load, preventing false alarms to the host system. The MAX1823A/MAX1823B also block reverse current (cur- rent from OUT_ to IN_) while in shutdown. The MAX1823 is available in a space-saving 10-pin µMAX package. The MAX1823/MAX1823A are enabled with an active-low signal, and the MAX1823B/MAX1823H are enabled with an active-high signal. For a single ver- sion of this device, refer to the MAX1946 data sheet. For a triple version, refer to the MAX1940 data sheet.
MAXIM MAX1838 Manual
The MAX1838 is a dual, current-limited USB switch with auxiliary input supply. Each switch meets all IEC specifications for USB ports and is guaranteed to supply 500mA from either of two input supplies. A control pin selects the power source from either the main or auxiliary supply. The MAX1838 has multiple protection features, including independent thermal-shutdown on each channel to limit junction temperature in case of a prolonged short or overload condition. The device has accurate internal current-limit and reverse-current protection to safeguard the input supply against overload. When powered from the auxiliary supply, the current limit on each channel is set independently with an external resistor. An autoreset feature latches the switch off if the output is shorted, thereby saving system power. When the short is removed, the switch automatically turns back on. Independent fault signals (FAULTA and FAULTB) notify the microprocessor (µP) that the internal current limit has been reached. A 20ms fault-blanking feature prevents the MAX1838 from issuing false alarms to the host during power-up or when hot-swapping into a capacitive load. The MAX1838 is available in a space-saving 16-pin QSOP. For other USB current-limited switches, refer to the MAX1693, MAX1694, MAX1812, and MAX1823.
MAXIM MAX1922 Manual
The MAX1922 is a 1A current-limited switch with built-in fault blanking that provides an accurate, preset 1.4A to 2.1A current limit, making it ideal for dual USB applications. Its low quiescent supply current (16µA) and standby current (1µA) conserve battery power in portable applications. The MAX1922 operates with inputs from 2.7V to 5.5V, making it ideal for both 3V and 5V systems. An overcurrent signal (OC) notifies the microprocessor that the internal current limit has been reached. A 10ms overcurrent-blanking feature allows momentary faults (such as those caused when hot-swapping into a capacitive load) to be ignored, thus preventing false alarms to the host system. This blanking also prevents an OC signal from being issued when the device is powering up. The MAX1922 has several safety features to ensure that the USB port is protected. Built-in thermal-overload protection limits power dissipation and junction temperature. The device also has accurate internal current-limiting circuitry to protect the input supply against overload. The MAX1922 is offered in a space-saving 8-pin SO package and a 10-pin TDFN package.
MAXIM MAX1931 Manual
MAX1931 is a 60 mΩ switch with an accurate preset current limit of 0.64A to 1.06A, making it ideally suited for USB applications.
