MAX3280E/MAX3281E/MAX3283E/MAX3284E are single receivers designed for RS-485 and RS-422 communication.
The MAX3280E‑MAX3284E family are single‑channel RS‑485/RS‑422 true fail‑safe receivers with up to 52 Mbps data rates and propagation delays as low as 15 ns. They feature 1/4‑unit‑load input impedance, allowing up to 128 receivers on a single bus, and include thermal protection that disables the output at 165 °C.
These devices are offered in compact SOT23 packages (5‑pin for MAX3280E, 6‑pin for the others) and support a supply voltage range of 3 V to 5.5 V. ESD protection is provided up to +15 kV (Human Body Model), +6 kV (Contact) and +12 kV (Air‑Gap).
