These instructions apply to liquid filled secondary unit substation transformers manufactured by the ABB Transformer Facility at Jefferson City, Missouri. Secondary Unit Substations are typically composed of three (3) major sections: the high or medium voltage section; transformer section; and low voltage section. These sections can be close coupled whereby the sections are bolted directly together to form a single line of electrical equipment or the sections can be separated by distance and
This document provides instructions for ABB 1LUJ000004-BLE liquid-filled secondary unit substation transformers manufactured by the ABB Transformer Facility at Jefferson City, Missouri. These transformers are designed for use under usual service conditions on electric utility power distribution systems and are suitable for 150-3000 KVA, three-phase applications. The instructions apply specifically to the transformer section of the substation, which may be close-coupled with high or medium voltage and low voltage sections.
| Power Rating | 150-3000 KVA |
|---|---|
| Phase Configuration | Three Phase |
| Fluid Type | Liquid filled |
The nameplate must include the serial number, style number, KVA rating, high voltage rating, and low voltage rating.
The oil level must be checked at 25° C before voltage is applied to the transformer.
The unit should not be tilted in any direction greater than 1.5 degrees to prevent deviations in liquid level.
