RICOH R1182x SERIES Manual(1)

The R1182x Series is a CMOS-based positive voltage regulator IC with high output voltage accuracy and low supply current. The ICs have a fixed output voltage with high accuracy. The R1182x Series has low dropout voltage and low static current consumption. It improves transient response in all load ranges through seamless technology. It offers high density mounting capability and comes in various package options.

Ricoh unique seamless technology smoothly changes transient response according to a output current without switching to a low power mode. Compared to the same seamless R1116x Series (10μA), R1182x features low supply current and low voltage. Additionally, the output voltage accuracy has improved to ±1%. RICOH R1180x SERIES Manual

The R1180x Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs with high output voltage accuracy, extremely low supply current, and low ON-resistance. Each of these ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistor-net for voltage setting, a current limit circuit which prevents the destruction by excess current, and so on. The output voltage of these ICs is fixed with high accuracy. B version has a chip enable pin, therefore ultra-low consumption current standby mode can be realized with the pin. Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-5 (R1180N Series), SC-82AB (R1180Q Series), and SON1612-6 (R1180D Series), therefore high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

RICOH R1180x Series Guide

The R1180x Series Low Supply Current 150mA LDO is a CMOS LDO regulator featuring 150mA output. R1180x’s typical low supply current of 1μA makes it ideal for use in power supplies systems with the sleep mode on. The version that reduced supply current to the lowest possible level by eliminating the CE pin is also available.

The R1163x Series is a CMOS-based voltage regulator IC with high output voltage accuracy and low supply current. These ICs have chip enable function and realize a standby mode with ultra low supply current. To prevent destruction by over current, the current limit circuit is included. The R1163x Series has 3 modes. One is standby mode with CE or standby control pin. The other two modes are realized with ECO pin. Fast Transient Mode (FT mode) and Low Power Mode (LP mode) can be alternated with ECO pin. The consumption current is reduced in Low Power Mode compared to Fast Transient Mode. The output voltage is maintained between FT mode and LP mode. Furthermore, the reverse current protection circuit is built-in. Therefore, if a higher voltage than VDD pin is forced to the output pin, the reverse current to VDD pin is very small (Max. 0.1μA), making it suitable for backup circuit. Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-5, SON-6, and DFN(PLP)1616-6 packages, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R1163x Series are CMOS-based manual mode switching LDO regulators with ECO pin featuring 150mA output. By inputting control signals to the ECO pin, the mode of the regulator can be switched to low power mode or fast response mode, thus making both active and sleep modes available for the system. The built-in reverse current protection circuit prevents the current flow from VOUT to VDD when VOUT is higher than VDD. This feature makes the product ideally suited for backup circuit. RICOH R1162D Series Manual

The R1162D Series are CMOS-based manual mode switching LDO regulators with ECO pin featuring 150mA output. By inputting control signals to the ECO pin, the mode of the regulator can be switched to low power mode or fast response mode, thus making both active and sleep modes available for the system. A peak current limit circuit, a short current limit circuit, and a thermal shutdown circuit are built in the R1154x series. The regulator output voltage is fixed in the R1154xxxxB, while adjustable type is the R1154x001C. Output voltage accuracy is ±2.0%. RICOH R1118x SERIES Manual

The R1118x series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs with ultra low supply current (Typ.5.5μA), and remarkable improved transient response compared with the conventional low supply current voltage regulator. The supply current of these ICs is automatically shifts between fast mode and low power mode, it depending on the load current. The current threshould is fixed internally. R1118x shifts from low power mode to fast response mode at IOUT=7mA (Typ.) and shifts fast response mode to low power mode at IOUT=2mA (Typ.). These ICs are capable of the low input voltage (Min.1.4V) and the output voltage range from 0.8V is possible. The output voltage of R1118x is fixed in the IC. Each of these ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, a resister net for setting output voltage, a current limit circuits for over-current. A standby mode with ultra low supply current can be realized with the chip enable function. Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-5 (Limited) and DFN(PLP)1612-4B, therefore high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

RICOH R1118K Series Manual

R1118K series are CMOS-based auto mode switching LDO regulators featuring 150mA output. In auto switching mode, the operation can switch automatically to fast response mode or low power mode of the ECO function according to output current. (Automatic switching to fast response mode under IOUT > 7mA conditions or to low power mode under IOUT < 2mA conditions.) In lower power mode, supply current is as low as 5.5μA. In fast response mode, ripple rejection is 70dB and noise is low. R1118K requires neither ECO pin for switching mode nor microcontroller pin. R1118K supports low voltage, featuring input voltage from 1.4V and output voltage from 0.8V. Standby mode and auto-discharge function are also available (see Selection Guide). Ceramic capacitors can be used.

Additionally, this product can reach low supply current without changing mode only by using the ECO pin, which is required by R1162x Series (Typ. 5.5μA). The CE pin is capable of putting the product into standby mode. The version with an auto-discharge function is also available. The pin-out meets the standard requirements. Ceramic capacitors can be used.
