INTERSIL HIN211EIBZ Datasheet

The HIN202, HIN206, HIN207, HIN208, HIN211, HIN213 are a family of +5V powered RS-232 transmitters/receivers with 0.1 microfarad external capacitors. This family of RS-232 transmitters/receivers interface circuits meet all ElA RS-232E and V.28 specifications, and are particularly suited for those applications where ±12V is not available. They require a single +5V power supply and feature onboard charge pump voltage converters which generate +10V and -10V supplies from the 5V supply. The family of devices offers a wide variety of RS-232 transmitter/receiver combinations to accommodate various applications (see Selection Table). The HIN206, HIN211 and HIN213 feature a low power shutdown mode to conserve energy in battery powered applications. In addition, the HIN213 provides two active receivers in shutdown mode allowing for easy “wakeup” capability. The drivers feature true TTL/CMOS input compatibility, slew rate-limited output, and 300Ω power-off source impedance. The receivers can handle up to ±30V input, and have a 3kΩ to 7kΩ input impedance. The receivers also feature hysteresis to greatly improve noise rejection.

INTERSIL HI9P0546-9Z Datasheet

The HI-546, HI-547, HI-548, and HI-549 are analog multiplexers with active overvoltage protection and guaranteed rON matching. These devices allow analog input levels to exceed the power supply without damage or signal path disturbance. They feature active protection circuitry to maintain signal fidelity even under fault conditions. The analog inputs can withstand constant 70VP-P levels with ±15V supplies, while the digital inputs can sustain continuous faults up to 4V greater than either supply. The devices also provide protection against short-circuiting in case of multiplexer supply loss. The HI-546 is a single 16-channel device, the HI-547 is an 8-channel differential device, the HI-548 is a single 8-channel device, and the HI-549 is a 4-channel differential device. These devices are suitable for systems where the analog inputs come from external equipment or separately powered circuitry. They are fabricated with 44V Dielectrically Isolated CMOS technology. The HI-506/507/508/509 multiplexers are recommended for applications that do not require input overvoltage protection. For more information, refer to Application Notes AN520 and AN521. MIL-STD-883 compliant parts are available upon request for the HI-546/883.

intersil ICL7660S handbook

The ICL7660S Super Voltage Converter is a monolithic CMOS voltage conversion IC that guarantees significant performance advantages over other similar devices. It is a direct replacement for the industry standard ICL7660 offering an extended operating supply voltage range up to 12V, with lower supply current. No external diode is needed for the ICL7660S. In addition, a Frequency Boost pin has been incorporated to enable the user to achieve lower output impedance despite using smaller capacitors. All improvements are highlighted in the Electrical Specifications section. Critical parameters are guaranteed over the entire commercial, industrial and military temperature ranges. The ICL7660S performs supply voltage conversion from positive to negative for an input range of 1.5V to 12V, resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -12V. Only 2 non-critical external capacitors are needed for the charge pump and charge reservoir functions. The ICL7660S can be connected to function as a voltage doubler and will generate up to 22.8V with a 12V input. It can also be used as a voltage multiplier or voltage divider. The chip contains a series DC power supply regulator, RC oscillator, voltage level translator, and four output power MOS switches. The oscillator, when unloaded, oscillates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz for an input supply voltage of 5.0V. This frequency can be lowered by the addition of an external capacitor

intersil HC-5524 handbook

The HC-5524 is a 24V PABX SLIC with 25mA loop feed. It is manufactured using a Dielectric Isolation (DI) process and is designed to serve as a 24V interface between the traditional telephone subscriber pair (Tip and Ring) and the low voltage filtering and coding/decoding functions of the line card. The SLIC provides various BORSCHT functions including battery feed with subscriber loop current limiting, overvoltage protection, ring relay driver, supervisory signaling functions, hybrid functions (with external Op-Amp), and test (or battery reversal) relay driver. Additionally, it offers selective denial of power to subscriber loops, programmable subscriber loop current limit, thermal shutdown with alarm output, and line fault protection. The HC-5524 SLIC is suitable for line card designs in PBX and DLC systems, serving as a replacement for traditional transformer solutions.

intersil HC-55564/883 handbook

HC-55564/883 is a half duplex modulator/demodulator CMOS integrated circuit used to convert voice signals into serial NRZ digital data and to reconvert that data into voice. The conversion is by delta-modulation, using the Continuously Variable Slope (CVSD) method of modulation/demodulation. While the signals are compatible with other CVSD circuits, the internal design is unique. The analog loop filters have been replaced by very low power digital filters which require no external timing components. This approach allows inclusion of many desirable features which would be difficult to implement using other approaches. The fundamental advantages of delta-modulation, along with its simplicity and serial data format, provide an efficient (low data rate/low memory requirements) method for voice digitization. The device may be easily configured with the National TP3040 PCM/CVSD filter. The HC-55564/883 is usable from 9k bits/sec to above 64kbps. For more applications information, see Application Notes AN576 and AN607.
