RICOH R5105N series Manual(1)

The R5105N Series are CMOS-based microprocessor supervisory circuit, or high accuracy and ultra low supply current voltage detector with built-in delay circuit and watchdog timer. When the supply voltage is down across the threshold, or the watchdog timer does not detect the system clock from the microprocessor, the reset output is generated. The voltage detector circuit is used for the system reset, etc. The detector threshold is fixed internally, and the accuracy is ±1.0%. The released delay time (Power-on Reset Delay) circuit is built-in, and output delay time is adjustable with an external capacitor, and the accuracy is ±16%*. When the supply voltage becomes higher than the released voltage, the reset state will be maintained during the delay time. The output type of the reset is selectable, Nch open-drain, or CMOS. The time out period of the watchdog timer can be also set with an external capacitor, and the accuracy is ±33%*. There are another 4 products by the difference of packages and the function of voltage detector and watchdog timer. The package of R5105N is SOT-23-6.

The R5104V 's input voltage of Max. 36V (absolute maximum rating: Max. 50V) makes it suitable for use in car applications. The RP150K series are CMOS-based dual output LDO regulators featuring 300mA output. RP150K features supply current as low as 24μA per output, which is substantially lower compared to existing lines. Due to a built-in 0.7Ω (at VOUT=2.8V) on-resistor, RP150K can provide a low dropout voltage. RP150K also features an excellent line transient response, ripple rejection at 80dB, and low noise. The output voltage accuracy is as high as ± 1% and the temperature drift coefficient of output voltage is low at ± 30ppm/°C. RP150K is available in RoHS compliant DFN(PLP)2020-8 package.

The RP154x Series are CMOS-based dual output LDO regulators featuring 300mA output. RP154x features a supply current from 50μA per output, a minimum input voltage from 1.4V and the output voltage can be set from 0.8V to 3.6V (in 0.1V steps). RP154x is available in SOT-23-6 and DFN1216-8 packages. Due to the low minimum input voltage RP154x is able to extend battery life, additionally the LDO has less power dissipation by the low dropout voltage between input and output.

The R5328K series are dual 150mA voltage regulator ICs with 3-mode. The 3-mode describes that they are the inactive standby, the active fast mode, and the active low power mode. The two active modes can be switched over with ECO pin. With this function, the output voltage maintains the level, and the mode can be switched over. The minimum operating voltage is 1.4V, and the output voltage range is from 0.8V to 4.0V.

By inputting the control signals to into the ECO pin, the operation can be switched between fast response mode and low power mode of the ECO function according to the output current. In low power mode, supply current is as low as 2.5μA. In fast response mode, ripple rejection is 70dB and noise is low. R5328K supports low voltage, featuring input voltage from 1.4V and output voltage from 0.8V. Standby mode and auto-discharge function are also available (see Selection Guide). Ceramic capacitors can be used.

The R5326K series automatic mode shift low voltage dual 150mA LDO is a CMOS-based auto mode switching dual LDO regulator with 150mA output. In auto switching mode, the operation can switch automatically to a fast response mode or a low power mode of the ECO function according to output current. (Automatic switching to fast response mode under IOUT > 3mA conditions or to low power mode under IOUT > 0.6mA conditions.) In low power mode, supply current is as low as 5.5μA. In fast response mode, ripple rejection is 70dB and noise is low. R5326K requires neither ECO pin for switching mode nor microcontroller pin. R5326K supports low voltage, featuring input voltage from 1.4V and output voltage from 0.8V. Standby mode and auto-discharge function are also available (see the Selection Guide). Ceramic capacitors can be used.

The RP153L Series is a CMOS-based voltage regulator IC with high output voltage accuracy, low supply current, low dropout, and high ripple rejection. Each IC consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit, and a chip enable circuit. These ICs have low dropout voltage due to a built-in transistor with low ON resistance, and the chip enable function extends the battery life of each system. The line transient response and load transient response of the RP153L Series are excellent, making them very suitable for power supply in handheld communication equipment. The output voltage of these ICs is internally fixed with high accuracy. The ICs are packaged in DFN1216-8, allowing for high-density mounting on boards. In RP153L, the power supply of each circuit can be individually supplied. The transient response characteristic of the D and E versions has been improved.

The R5325x Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs with high output voltage accuracy, low supply current (Typ. 3.0μA), low dropout, and fast transient response. Each of these voltage regulator ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting output voltage, a current limit circuit, and a chip enable circuit. Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-6 (Limited) and DFN(PLP)1820-6 package, dual LDO regulators are included in each, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

The R5325K Series are CMOS-based seamless dual output LDO regulators featuring 150mA output. Ricoh unique seamless technology smoothly changes its transient response according to output current. Thus, R5325K offers lower supply current in the smaller output current range compared to R5323x (Typ. 90μA). Additionally, R5325K can reach low supply current without changing to low power mode using the ECO function, which is required by R5326K (Typ. 5.5μA) and R5328K (Typ. 2.5μA).
