intersil ISL2111 date data

The ISL2110 and ISL2111 are 100V high-frequency half-bridge N-Channel power MOSFET driver ICs. They are based on the popular HIP2100 and HIP2101 half-bridge drivers, but offer several performance improvements. The peak output pull-up/pull-down current has been increased to 3A/4A, which significantly reduces switching power losses and eliminates the need for external totem-pole buffers in many applications. Additionally, the low end of the VDD operational supply range has been extended to 8VDC. The ISL2110 has additional input hysteresis for superior operation in noisy environments, and the inputs of the ISL2111, like those of the ISL2110, can now safely swing to the VDD supply rail.

intersil ISL6700 date data

The ISL6700 is an 80V/1.25A peak, medium frequency, low cost, half-bridge driver IC. It is available in 8-lead SOIC and 12-lead QFN plastic packages. The low-side and high-side gate drivers are independently controlled and matched to 25ns. This gives the user maximum flexibility in dead-time selection and driver protocol. Undervoltage protection on both the low-side and high-side supplies force the outputs low. Non-latching, level-shift translation is used to control the upper drive circuit. Unlike some competitors, the high-side output returns to its correct state after a momentary undervoltage of the high-side supply.

intersil ISL6265 handbook

ISL6265 is a multi-output controller with integrated MOSFET drivers from Intersil for AMD SVI capable mobile CPUs. The ISL6265 features a single phase controller that powers the Northbridge (VDDNB) portion of the CPU. The remaining two controller channels can be configured for two-phase or individual single-phase outputs. For uniplane CPU applications, the ISL6265 is configured as a two-phase buck converter. This allows the controller to interleave channels to effectively double the output voltage ripple frequency and thereby reduce output voltage ripple amplitude with fewer components, lower component cost, reduced power dissipation, and smaller area. For dual-plane processors, the ISL6265 can be configured as independent single-phase controllers powering VDD0 and VDD1. The heart of the ISL6265 is Intersil’s patented R3 Technology™, the Robust Ripple Regulator modulator. Compared with the traditional buck regulator, the R3 Technology™ has a faster transient response. This is due to the R3 modulator commanding variable switching frequency during a load transient. The Serial VID Interface (SVI) provides the means for the CPU to communicate with the ISL6265 via the I²C bus and thus receive input voltage, output voltage, and temperature information.

The integration of two power MOSFET drivers, adding flexibility in layout, reduce the number of external components in the multi- phase section. A single phase PWM controller with integrated driver provides a second precision voltage regulation system for the North Bridge portion of the processor. This monolithic, dual controller with integrated driver solution provides a cost and space saving power management solution. For applications which benefit from load line programming to reduce bulk output capacitors, the ISL6324A features output voltage droop. The multi-phase portion also includes advanced control loop features for optimal transient response to load application and removal

intersil ICL7660 date data

The ICL7660 and ICL7660A are monolithic CMOS power supply circuits that offer unique performance advantages over previously available devices. The ICL7660 performs supply voltage conversions from positive to negative for an input range of +1.5V to +10.0V, resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -10.0V. The ICL7660A does the same conversions with an input range of +1.5V to +12.0V, resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -12.0V. Only 2 noncritical external capacitors are needed for the charge pump and charge reservoir functions. The ICL7660 and ICL7660A can also be connected to function as voltage doublers and will generate output voltages up to +18.6V with a +10V input. Contained on the chip are a series DC supply regulator, RC oscillator, voltage level translator, and four output power MOS switches. A unique logic element senses the most negative voltage in the device and ensures that the output N-Channel switch source-substrate junctions are not forward biased. This assures latchup free operation. The oscillator, when unloaded, oscillates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz for an input supply voltage of 5.0V. This frequency can be lowered by the addition of an external capacitor to the “OSC” terminal, or the oscillator may be overdriven by an external clock. The “LV” terminal may be tied to GROUND to bypass the internal series regulator and improve low voltage (LV) operation.

Critical parameters are guaranteed across commercial, industrial, and military temperature ranges. The ICL7660S performs positive to negative supply voltage conversion for an input range of 1.5V to 12V, resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -12V. intersil ISL97635A date data

The ISL97635A is a digitally controlled LED driver that controls 6 channels of LED current for LCD backlight applications. The ISL97635A can drive typically 54 (6x9) pieces of 3.5V/30mA or 60 (6x10) pieces of 3.2V/20mA LEDs. The ISL97635A contains 6 channels of voltage controlled current sources with typical currents matching of ±1%, which compensate for the non-uniformity effect of forward voltages variance in the LED stacks. To minimize the voltage headroom and power loss in the typical multi-strings operation, the ISL97635A features a dynamic headroom control that monitors the highest LED forward voltage string and uses its feedback signal for output regulation. The LED dimming control can be achieved through a SMBus, an external PWM, or a variable DC (analog light sensor) input. SMBus controlled dimming allows 256 levels each of PWM and DC current adjustments. The SMBus PWM dimming frequency can be adjusted from 100Hz to 5kHz by an external capacitor. External PWM input allows up to 20kHz audio noise free PWM dimming. The SMBus PWM setting and an external PWMI signal can be synchronized for dimming.
