This manual describes the onsemi NCV7750GEVB evaluation board, which demonstrates the features of the NCV7750 quad low-side relay driver for automotive…
The NCV7750GEVB is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the output drivers, protective features, and various modes of operation of the NCV7750 quad low-side relay driver. The board includes an LCD display for monitoring input, output, and chip state, and supports SPI communication for configuration and control. It features four independently controlled channels, each equipped with an NEC EX2 automotive relay to switch an LED load.
| Number of channels | four independently controlled channels |
|---|---|
| Clamping voltage | minimum specification of 36 V |
| Output current sink | 600 mA |
| Communication interface | SPI bus |
| Communication pins | SI, SO, SCLK and CSB |
The primary target is to control relay coils for use in a Body Control Unit (BCU) or Engine Control Unit (ECU).
Configuration is realized by DIP switches that may be set by the user, and output control is transmitted via SPI.
Each channel has Overcurrent Detection, Overtemperature Detection, and Open Load Detection.
