This manual provides usage instructions for the onsemi NCS36000GEVB evaluation board, covering power-up procedures, jumper settings, and interfacing with…
The Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor evaluation board is designed to evaluate the NCS36000, a fully integrated mixed-signal CMOS device for low-cost passive infrared controlling applications. The board integrates two low-noise amplifiers and a LDO regulator to drive the sensor, with output logic processed by an internal window comparator.
It can be powered by plugging a micro-USB cable into connector USB1 or by connecting an external power source with a voltage ranging 4–9 V DC between the 'GND' and '+' terminals of pinheader H1.
After the LED blinks for about 30 seconds during startup, it stops blinking and remains disabled unless the 'LED_EN' jumper is set to close, in which case it toggles when motion is detected.
This potentiometer controls the system oscillator frequency, which influences the reaction time and sensitivity of the detection system.
