Technical data sheet for the Baumer LFFS-1 level switch, covering specifications, installation and approvals.
The Baumer LFFS-1 Level Switch is designed for level detection in tanks, media separation and dry‑run protection. It uses a high‑frequency sweep signal radiated from the sensor tip, forming a virtual capacitor that determines the switching point based on the media’s dielectric constant. The device can be configured via the FlexProgrammer 9701 for NPN, PNP or digital output and includes options for foam compensation and damping.
The datasheet provides detailed technical data, installation guidelines, ATEX and 3A/EHEDG approvals, and a list of accessories such as hygienic connections, sliding connections and isolating modules. Materials are food‑compatible stainless steel and PEEK, and the unit is maintenance‑free with an LED indicator.
