The Apple Business Manager Getting Started Guide provides an overview of the web portal and its core functions, including device enrollment, app and book purchasing, and managed Apple ID creation. It describes how the service integrates with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and replaces the older DEP and VPP programs.
The guide walks administrators through registration, configuring accounts and roles, setting up federated authentication with Azure AD, entering purchase information, assigning devices to MDM servers, and distributing content to devices and users. It also covers custom app distribution and best practices for managing devices and licenses. This manual is written in Czech.
You need an Azure AD account with a global admin, app admin, or cloud app admin role, then link the domain in Apple Business Manager’s Federated Authentication settings.
Enter your Apple Customer Number and/or your reseller’s ID in Settings → Device Management, and also provide your organization ID if purchasing through a partner.
