DC1921A is a digitally programmable 8-channel 1A buck DC/DC using LTC3375EUK.
This document provides step-by-step instructions for setting up and operating the DC1921A demo board, which features the LTC3375 8-channel programmable buck regulator. It covers hardware connections, software setup using the DC590B USB to I2C interface, and control of regulator functions via the LTC3375 control window. The guide includes procedures for enabling regulators, monitoring status registers, handling faults, and using pushbutton controls.
The board supports programmable output voltages from 1V to 3.3V, with each channel capable of delivering up to 1A. It is designed for evaluating the LTC3375 in Li-Ion/Polymer battery applications and includes features like I2C control, watchdog timer, and external enable pins for power sequencing.
| Input Supply Range (VIN1 to VIN8) | 2.25 to 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Operating Voltage (VCC) | 3.3 V |
| Default Operating Frequency | 2MHz |
| Output Voltage Range | 1V to 3.3V |
| Output Current per Channel | 1A |
Connect the DC1921A to the DC590B using the supplied 14-conductor ribbon cable, as shown in Figure 1.
Use the Linear Technology QuikEval program, which automatically detects the DC1921A and activates the appropriate GUI.
The RST LED illuminates and the PG1 indicator displays LO, then returns to HI when the short is removed.
