Maxtor warrants the XT-8000E/EH Family of disk drives against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years for the original purchaser.
To avoid condensation damage, let the drive acclimate to room temperature before removing it from its protective bag.
Forced air cooling of approximately 500 linear feet per minute across the PCB is recommended.
