About this manual

The ADM1270 is a current-limiting controller designed to provide inrush current limiting and overcurrent protection for modular or battery-powered systems. It controls supply voltages ranging from 4 V to 60 V via an external P-channel FET, preventing damage during circuit board insertion into a live backplane.

The device features adjustable current limits, foldback current limiting, and automatic retry or latch-off on current faults. It includes programmable timers for safe operating area (SOA), power-good and fault outputs, as well as analog undervoltage (UV) and overvoltage (OV) protection.
