ST L7986 handbook

The L7986 is a 3A step-down switching regulator from ST. It features an output current of up to 3A, an input voltage range of 4.5V to 38V, and an output voltage that can be set from 0.6V to VIN. The device includes an internal 250kHz switching frequency oscillator that can be externally adjusted up to 1MHz. The QFN and HSOP packages with exposed pad allow reducing the RthJA down to 60°C/W and 40°C/W respectively.
