This document is the user guide for the SSM2932 evaluation board, a tool designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the SSM2932 stereo headphone amplifier. The board features a complete application circuit for driving headphones using the device's high-efficiency Class-G technology. It includes a 16-ball WLCSP package and supports industrial temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C.
The guide details how to configure the board for various operating modes, including input selection (single-ended or differential), gain settings (0 dB or 6 dB), shutdown mode, and high output impedance. It also covers power supply requirements, passive component selection for optimal performance, and provides the board's schematic and artwork for reference.
| Output Power | 50 mW continuous output power per channel |
|---|---|
| Load Impedance | 16 Ω single-ended loads |
| Technology | Class-G |
| Gain Options | 0 dB and 6 dB |
| Temperature Range | -40 °C to +85°C |
| ESD Protection | 8 kV |
| Package Type | 16-ball 1.6 mm × 1.6 mm WLCSP |

Connect a jumper from the center pin of J10 to PVDD for 6 dB gain, or to GND for 0 dB gain.
The output connector supports headphones with a minimum impedance of 16 Ω.
Apply a logic low to the SD pin by inserting a jumper from the center pin of J4 to GND.
The recommended value is 1.0 μF, X7R ceramic capacitor.
