The DA30 AC CURRENT DETECTOR is a current detection instrument that can measure AC current, has high sensitivity and is easy to operate
This document is the User's Guide for the Extech DA30 AC Current Detector. It provides essential safety precautions, such as testing the detector on a known live circuit before use and ensuring a load is present on the circuit for detection. The guide details the step-by-step operation procedure, including turning the unit on, adjusting sensitivity, and using the sensor to identify current-carrying conductors.
| Current sensitivity | 200mA (0.2A) AC at 0.2" |
|---|---|
| Indication type | Audible/Visible indication |
| Frequency range | 50 to 500Hz |
| Operating Temperature | 14 to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C) |
| Power supply | 4 LR44 batteries |
| Weight | 1.6 oz. (45g) |
There must be a load on the circuit (current flow) for current detection.
Move the sensor near the conductor until it beeps/flashes, then slowly adjust the sensitivity and reduce the distance to identify the conductor.
Extech warrants the instrument to be free of defects for one year from the date of shipment.
