About this manual

The TEA1205AT is a fully integrated DC/DC converter circuit designed to supply electronic circuits with supply voltages of 3.3 V or 5.5 V from 2, 3, or 4 NiCd cell batteries or one Li-ion battery. It is intended for use in cameras, cellular phones, PDAs, and portable computers, offering output power up to 3.6 W continuously or 8 W in GSM burst mode.

The device utilizes a digitally controlled Pulse Width and Frequency Modulation (PWFM) concept with integrated low Rds(on) CMOS power switches and synchronous rectification. It features a burst mode operation, a shut-down function, and the ability to synchronize to an external high-frequency clock. The converter is available in an 8-pin SO package (SOT96-1).
