About this manual

The Agilent SurePrint G3 Human CGH+SNP Microarray Platform extends the capabilities of the standard CGH platform to allow the simultaneous detection of copy number variations (CNVs) and copy-neutral chromosomal changes, such as loss of heterozygosity (LOH) and uniparental disomy (UPD). This is achieved by adding a set of SNP probes to the array and utilizing data analysis within Agilent's Genomic Workbench software.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum amount of DNA required to start the sample preparation process?

The sample preparation process can start with as little as 500 ng of DNA.

What is the resolution for detecting copy-neutral LOH or UPD across the entire genome?

The platform provides approximately 5–10 Mb resolution for detecting copy-neutral LOH or UPD.

What is the SNP call rate and accuracy when using high-quality DNA samples?

With high-quality DNA samples, the SNP call rate is greater than 95% with a greater than 99% accuracy.
