About this manual

The Analog Devices DAC08 series provides very high-speed performance coupled with low cost and outstanding applications flexibility. The monolithic digital-to-analog converters achieve 85 ns settling times with very low glitch energy and low power consumption.

Advanced circuit design ensures monotonic multiplying performance over a wide reference current range, eliminating the need for full-scale trimming in most applications. The devices offer direct interface to all popular logic families (TTL, CMOS, ECL, HTL, PMOS) via high swing, adjustable threshold logic inputs.

Frequently asked questions

What is the settling time of the DAC08?

The device achieves a fast settling output current of 85 ns.

Is full-scale trimming required for most applications?

No, matching to within 1 LSB between reference and full-scale currents eliminates the need for full-scale trimming.

What is the maximum nonlinearity over the temperature range?

The nonlinearity is guaranteed to be a maximum of 0.1%.
