The Yamaha P2160 is a high-output, stable, and reliable power amplifier housed in a compact body. It features Yamaha technology including DC sensing circuitry, overheating detection, and a power ON/OFF mute function to ensure safe operation. The manual covers precautions, front and rear panel operations, and troubleshooting.
| Input Connectors | XLR-3-31 type and 1/4-inch balanced TRS |
|---|---|
| Speaker Terminals | Red for positive, black for negative |

The amplifier cuts off sound to protect itself from issues like overheating or excessive DC voltage. It will automatically resume normal operation once the problem is corrected.
Turn the power OFF, set the rear panel MODE switch to MONO, connect the signal to Channel A input, and connect the positive speaker lead to Channel A and the negative lead to Channel B.
The rack must be well-ventilated with air drawn in at the bottom and expelled from the top. A space of at least 100 mm is required between the amplifier's rear panel and the rack.
