Bt8110/8110B is a high-capacity ADPCM processor that implements Adaptive Differential Pulse-Code Modulation (ADPCM) encoding and decoding. It supports multichannel processing, including fixed-rate coding algorithms and variable-rate coding algorithms.
The Bt8110 and Bt8110B are high-capacity ADPCM processor integrated circuits that implement Adaptive Differential Pulse-Code Modulation (ADPCM) encoding and decoding. These circuits support both fixed-rate and variable-rate coding algorithms, including those specified in ANSI Standard T1.303-1989 and ITU-T Recommendations G.726 and G.727. A single processor can provide 24 or 32 full-duplex channels, with two circuits capable of providing 48 or 64 full-duplex channels.
| Channel Capacity | 24 or 32 full-duplex channels (48 or 64 with two processors) |
|---|---|
| Quantization | 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-bit |
| Power Consumption | 8 mw per-channel |
| Temperature Range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Package Type | 68-Pin Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier (PLCC) |
They support fixed-rate algorithms specified in ANSI Standard T1.303-1989 and ITU-T Recommendations G.726 and G.727, as well as variable-rate or embedded codes specified in ANSI Standard T1.310-1991 and ITU-T Recommendation G.727.
The Bt8110 requires an external lookup table ROM, while the Bt8110B has an internal lookup table ROM or can use an external one.
In direct framer interface mode, the Bt8110 operates at 56 kbit/s, while the Bt8110B operates at 64 kbit/s.
