The MB89490 series is a general-purpose version of the F2MC-8L family, which consists of proprietary 8-bit single-chip microcontrollers. In addition to a compact instruction set, the general-purpose single-chip microcontroller contains various peripheral functions such as a 21-bit timebase timer, watch prescaler, PWM timer, 8/16-bit timer/counter, remote receiver circuit, LCD controller/driver, external interrupt 0 (edge), external interrupt 1 (level), 10-bit A/D converter, UART/SIO, SIO, I2C, and watchdog timer reset. The MB89490 series is suitable for compact disc/radio receiver controllers as well as a wide range of applications for consumer products.
