It covers the removal of existing components, such as tray brackets and inlet nuts, and outlines the steps required to mount the new bracket assembly.
The document assumes the Gas Chromatograph (GC) is either a 5890A GC fully upgraded to a 5890 Series II instrument or a 5890 Series II GC purchased as such.
Required tools include open-end wrenches, flat blade screwdriver, diagonal side cutter, No. 2 Pozidrive screwdriver, Torx T-20 driver, and a 7-mm nutdriver.
You must allow the inlets and oven to cool, turn off gas flows, remove existing injectors and tray brackets, and replace the lid shaft with the new one from the kit.
