The MAX3967 is a 270Mbps SFP LED driver that contains a high-performance current driver, programmable temperature coefficient, LED prebias voltage adjustment, and a disable function.
The MAX3967 is a high-speed current driver designed for fiber optic transmitters operating at data rates up to 270Mbps. It features a programmable temperature coefficient (tempco) ranging from 2500ppm/°C to 12,000ppm/°C and allows adjustment of the LED prebias voltage between 400mV and 925mV via external resistors.
The device accepts PECL data inputs and operates from a single +2.97V to +5.5V power supply, capable of switching up to 100mA into typical high-speed LEDs. Complementary current outputs help maintain constant supply current to reduce EMI and noise. It is available in die form or a 4mm x 4mm, 24-pin thin QFN package.
