Insert the battery into the charger; the charging light is orange while charging and turns green when fully charged, which takes about 1.5 hours.
Turn off the camera, open the Battery/Memory Card door, and insert the memory card into the smaller slot until it snaps into place.
Press the main power button on the camera.
