C, including four 10-bit ADCs, 6 analog input channels, SCART fast blanking support, internal anti-aliasing filters, NTSC, PAL and SECAM color standard support, 525p/625p component progressive scanning support, 720p/1080i component HDTV support, RGB graphics digitization, 3×3 color space conversion matrix, industrial temperature range, 12-bit 4:4:4 DDR, 8-/10-/16-/20-bit SDR pixel output interface, programmable interrupt request output pin, small package, low pin count, single video and graphics front end, VBI data slicer (including teletext) and more.
The ADV7181C is a single‑chip, 10‑bit multiformat video decoder and graphics digitizer that converts PAL, NTSC, SECAM, component and SCART signals to digital formats such as ITU‑R BT.656, YCrCb or RGB. It supports a wide range of video standards, including 525p/625p progressive scan, 720p, 1080i and XGA graphics up to 1024 × 768 at 70 Hz.
The document provides detailed electrical, video, timing and analog specifications, functional block diagrams, pin descriptions and ordering information. Typical applications include automotive entertainment systems, HDTVs, LCD/DLP projectors, set‑top boxes with PVR, DVD recorders and AVR receivers.
| Resolution per ADC | 10 bits |
|---|---|
| AVDD supply voltage | 3.15 V to 3.45 V |
| Operating temperature range | –40 °C to +85 °C |
| Digital Core Supply Current (CVBS 54 MHz) | 105 mA |
| Analog Supply Current (CVBS 54 MHz) | 99 mA |
The recommended analog input video signal range is 0.5 V to 1.6 V, typically 1 V peak‑to‑peak.
AVDD must be 3.15 V to 3.45 V, DVDD 1.65 V to 2.0 V, DVDDIO 3.0 V to 3.6 V, and PVDD 1.71 V to 1.89 V.
