CAT24WC01/02/04/08/16 1K/2K/4K/8K/16K-Bit Serial E2PROM is a low power CMOS E2PROM launched by Catalyst Semiconductor. It has 400 KHZ I2C Bus compatibility, 1.8 to 6.0 volt power operation, write protection feature, page write buffer, self-timed write cycle and 1,000,000 programming/erasing cycles and 100 years data retention function. It is suitable for commercial, industrial and automotive temperature ranges and provides 8-pin DIP, 8-pin SOIC or 8-pin TSSOP packages.
The CAT24WC01/02/04/08/16 family are low‑power CMOS serial EEPROMs that operate over a 1.8 V‑6.0 V supply and support I²C‑compatible bus communication. They are offered in 8‑pin DIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages and feature a 16‑byte page‑write buffer, write‑protect pin, and up to 1 000 000 program/erase cycles with 100‑year data retention.
The devices can be cascaded on the I²C bus according to density (up to eight 1 K‑bit parts, four 2 K‑bit parts, two 4 K‑bit parts, or a single 8 K‑ or 16 K‑bit part). Absolute maximum ratings, reliability characteristics, and detailed timing diagrams are provided for design engineers.
