CAT1320, CAT1321 are complete memory and supervisory solutions for microcontroller-based systems.
The Catalyst Semiconductor CAT1320 and CAT1321 are complete memory and supervisory solutions designed for microcontroller-based systems. They integrate a 32kbit serial EEPROM with a system power supervisor that includes brown-out protection, all implemented in low-power CMOS technology.
These devices interface via a 400kHz I2C bus and support 5V, 3.3V, and 3V systems through five selectable reset threshold voltages. The CAT1320 provides an active-low reset output, while the CAT1321 provides an active-high reset output. Both models feature hardware data protection that prevents EEPROM writes when the power supply voltage falls below the reset threshold or during unstable power-up conditions.
| Operating Voltage Range | 3.0V to 5.5V |

| Program/Erase Cycles | 1,000,000 |
| Data Retention | 100 years |
| Package Types | DIP, SOIC, TSSOP, TDFN |
The CAT1320 provides an active low reset output, while the CAT1321 provides an active high reset output.
The devices support five reset threshold voltages for 5V, 3.3V, and 3V systems.
The reset output remains active for approximately 200ms after the supply voltage exceeds the reset threshold level.
