This document describes the STV9427/28/29 high-speed multisync on-screen display for monitors. It features a CMOS single chip OSD, built-in 1KB RAM, 207 alphanumeric characters or graphic symbols, programmable character blinking, and more.
The STV9427, STV9428 and STV9429 are high‑speed multisynch on‑screen display (OSD) chips for monitors. They operate as slave peripherals connected to a host MCU via a two‑wire I²C interface and include 1 KB RAM, 207 alphanumeric/graphic characters in ROM, and eight 8‑bit PWM DAC outputs for voltage control.
The devices support up to an 80 MHz pixel clock, a single 5 V supply, and provide flexible vertical/horizontal positioning, color look‑up tables, and programmable control codes. Detailed electrical characteristics, timing parameters, and package dimensions are listed for DIP16, DIP20 and DIP24 variants.
