About this manual

The STK14C88-3 is a 32‑K × 8 AutoStore™ non‑volatile SRAM from SIMTEK. It combines fast static RAM operation with an integrated non‑volatile element that can store data on power‑down and recall it on power‑up. Key features include 35 ns‑55 ns access times, 1 000 000 guaranteed store cycles, 100‑year data retention, and single‑supply operation at 3.0 V‑3.6 V.

The device supports three STORE/RECALL methods: hardware STORE via the HSB pin, AutoStore™ using an external capacitor, and software‑controlled STORE/RECALL sequences. Power‑up RECALL occurs automatically when the supply voltage rises above the reset threshold. Proper high‑frequency bypass decoupling (≈0.1 µF) is recommended to minimize noise.
