This document describes a 10-bit integrated multiformat SDTV/HDTV video decoder and RGB graphics digitizer. It features four 10-bit ADCs, internal antialias filters, support for NTSC/PAL/SECAM color standards, and digitization of RGB graphics.
The ADV7401 from Analog Devices is a single‑chip multiformat SDTV/HDTV video decoder and RGB graphics digitizer. It converts NTSC, PAL and SECAM composite or S‑Video signals to ITU‑R BT.656 digital format and also decodes component RGB/YPrPb video into YCrCb or RGB pixel streams. The device supports a wide range of video standards, including 525i, 625i, 525p, 625p, 720p, 1080i and more.
Key features include four 10‑bit ADCs sampling up to 140 MHz, a 12‑channel analog input mux, SCART fast‑blank support, internal anti‑alias filters, a 24‑bit digital input port for DVI/HDMI, and operation over an industrial temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. Detailed electrical, timing and pin‑out specifications are provided for designers.
