About this manual

The AD7783 is a complete analog front‑end for low‑frequency measurement applications. It features a single fully‑differential 24‑bit sigma‑delta ADC channel, selectable input ranges of ±160 mV or ±2.56 V, and two on‑chip 200 mA excitation current sources. The device uses a read‑only digital interface that can operate in master or slave mode without any programmable registers.

Typical applications include sensor measurement, industrial process control, temperature, pressure, weigh‑scale, and portable instrumentation. The ADC is pin‑configurable for input range and current source selection, operates from a 3 V or 5 V supply, and provides a fixed 19.79 Hz update rate with simultaneous 50 Hz and 60 Hz line‑frequency rejection.
