AD9272 is an eight-channel crosspoint switch from Analog Devices that includes a low noise preamplifier (LNA), variable gain amplifier (VGA), antialiasing filter (AAF), and analog-to-digital converter (ADC)
The AD9272 combines a low‑noise preamplifier, variable‑gain amplifier, antialiasing filter and 12‑bit ADC in a compact 100‑lead TQFP package. It offers eight independent channels, each with programmable gain, filtering, and a built‑in 8×8 differential crosspoint switch for CW Doppler applications.
Designed for medical imaging, ultrasound and automotive radar, the device operates from –40 °C to +85 °C, consumes as little as 195 mW per channel at 40 MSPS, and provides flexible SPI control for gain, filter settings and power‑down modes.
| Number of channels | 8 |
|---|---|
| Input‑referred noise voltage (LNA, 21.3 dB gain) | 0.75 nV/√Hz |
| Power consumption per channel (40 MSPS) | 195 mW |
| Sample rate range | 10 MSPS to 80 MSPS |
| ADC resolution | 12 bits |
The AD9272 provides eight independent channels.
It is 0.75 nV/√Hz.
Typical power consumption is 195 mW per channel.
The ADC has a 12‑bit resolution.
