The TPA2005D1 is a 1.4-W high-efficiency filter-free class-D audio power amplifier in a MicroStar Junior™ BGA, QFN, or MSOP package that requires only three external components.
The TPA2005D1‑Q1 delivers 1.4 W into an 8 Ω load from a 5 V supply with up to 84 % efficiency at 400 mW output. It requires only three external components and includes an internally generated 250‑kHz switching frequency, eliminating the need for an external LC filter. The device offers a wide supply range (2.5 V to 5.5 V), low quiescent current (2.8 mA), and a shutdown current of 0.5 µA.
The amplifier is offered in several compact packages, including the MicroStar Junior™ BGA (GQY), 3 mm × 3 mm QFN (DRB), 2.5 mm × 2.5 mm MicroStar Junior™ BGA (ZQY), and 3 mm × 5 mm MSOP (DGN). Detailed pin assignments, functional block diagram, and typical performance graphs are provided, along with layout guidelines for the thermal pad and land pattern.
