About this manual

The M48Z58 and M48Z58Y ZeroPower® SRAMs are 8‑Kbit (8 Kbit × 8) static RAM devices that incorporate power‑fail detection, automatic chip deselect, and a built‑in lithium button‑cell battery. They are offered in two package types – a 28‑lead DIP with a CAPHAT™ battery housing and a 28‑lead SOIC that mates with a separate SNAPHAT battery module.

The datasheet details electrical characteristics, timing parameters, operating modes (read, write, data‑retention), absolute maximum ratings, and mechanical dimensions for both package options. It also provides ordering information, part numbering, and revision history for the device.
