About this manual

The LMD18400 is a fully protected quad high‑side driver that contains four common‑drain DMOS N‑channel power switches. Each switch can handle a continuous 1 A load with >3 A transient capability, and includes instantaneous power limiting, over‑voltage shutdown, and sleep‑mode current reduction. The device offers LSTTL/CMOS compatible inputs and a MICROWIRE™ serial data interface for diagnostics.

Typical applications include relay and solenoid drivers, automotive fuel‑injector drivers, lamp drivers, power‑supply switching, and motor drivers. The driver can be paralleled for higher current, and supports PWM control up to 20 kHz for motor speed regulation.
