This document is the Dell™ PowerConnect™ 34XX Systems User's Guide, providing important information and notices, and describing the features and characteristics of the products.
This guide covers the hardware description of the PowerConnect 34XX series, including port types, LEDs, power supplies, physical dimensions, and stacking hardware. Installation procedures such as rack mounting, wall mounting, and stack assembly are detailed, along with initial power‑on steps.
The manual then explains configuration and management tasks: basic switch setup, VLAN creation, spanning‑tree and link aggregation, security features (RADIUS, TACACS+, passwords), Power over Ethernet, diagnostics, and software upgrades via TFTP. It also includes information on using Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator for remote management.

Use the "Viewing Version Information" command to display the software version.
