The ADS8331/ADS8332 is a low-power, 16-bit, 500k samples per second (SPS) analog-to-digital converter with a unipolar, 4:1 multiplexer (mux) input and a serial interface.
The ADS8331 and ADS8332 are 16‑bit successive‑approximation register (SAR) analog‑to‑digital converters designed for low‑power, high‑speed applications. Both devices provide a unipolar input architecture with a 4‑channel (ADS8331) or 8‑channel (ADS8332) on‑chip multiplexer and support serial SPI/DSP‑compatible interfaces, including daisy‑chain operation.
Key features include a supply range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, power‑down modes (Deep, Nap, Auto‑Nap), and operation over an industrial temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C. The converters are offered in 24‑pin 4×4 QFN and 24‑pin TSSOP packages and are intended for use in communications, medical instruments, industrial process control, data acquisition, and automatic test equipment.
