About this manual

The SL1002A Series Gas Discharge Tubes are surface‑mountable, RoHS‑compliant devices designed for broadband, ADSL, XDSL, satellite, CATV and general telecom applications. They feature ultra‑low insertion loss, very low capacitance (≈1.2 pF) and can withstand fast‑rising transients up to 1 kV/µs.

Electrical characteristics include a 5 kA surge rating (8/20 µs pulse), 10/700 6 kV capability, and a 2000 A 2/10 µs surge rating. The devices are specified for operation from –40 °C to +90 °C and are supplied in both surface‑mount (SM) and core (C) packaging formats.
