The MAX3202E/MAX3203E/MAX3204E/MAX3206E are low-capacitance ±15kV ESD-protection diode arrays designed to protect sensitive electronics attached to communication lines.
The MAX3202E, MAX3203E, MAX3204E and MAX3206E are low‑capacitance diode arrays that protect high‑speed data lines from ESD events up to ±15 kV Human Body Model, ±8 kV Contact Discharge, and ±15 kV Air‑Gap Discharge. Each channel provides a 5 pF input capacitance and can be used in USB, Ethernet, FireWire, video and cell‑phone connector applications.
The devices are offered in multiple tiny WLP, TDFN‑EP and TQFN‑EP packages and operate from –40 °C to +85 °C. The datasheet includes absolute maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, thermal data, layout recommendations, reliability test results and ordering information.
| Supply Voltage (VCC) | 0.9 V – 5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Supply Current (I_CC) | 1 nA – 100 nA |
| Operating Temperature Range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| ESD Protection Rating | ±15 kV HBM, ±8 kV Contact, ±15 kV Air‑Gap |
They are rated for ±15 kV Human Body Model, ±8 kV Contact Discharge, and ±15 kV Air‑Gap Discharge per IEC 61000‑4‑2.
The MAX3203E is a three‑channel device.
