About this manual

The WF next series offers fork sensors with slot widths from 2 mm to 120 mm and selectable fork depths of 40, 60 or 95 mm. Sensors feature a rugged aluminium housing, glass optics, LED/infra‑red light source and a short response time. Adjustments are made via a user‑friendly keyboard or a 2‑point Teach‑in process, and the switching threshold can be fine‑tuned with “+” and “–” buttons.

Both PNP and NPN switching outputs are provided, with light/dark mode selectable via a button. The devices are IP65‑rated, VDE class 7, operate from 10 … 30 V DC, and draw about 40 mA with a 100 mA output capability. They are suitable for detecting labels, marks, holes and edges in a wide range of industrial applications.
