The ADM2485 is a high-speed, isolated RS-485 transceiver with integrated external transformer driver from Analog Devices. It meets the ANSI/TIA/EIA RS-485-A-98 and ISO 8482:1987(E) standards, has a data rate of 16 Mbps, operates at 5 V or 3.3 V, supports 50 bus nodes, has high common-mode transient immunity (>25 kV/μs), an isolated DE OUT status output, and thermal shutdown protection. It meets UL 1577 standard, which certifies 2500 V rms 1 minute of insulation and VDE certificate V 0884-10 (VDE V 0884-10):2006-12, and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It comes in a wide-body 16-lead SOIC package and is suitable for isolated RS-485/RS-422 interfaces, PROFIBUS networks, industrial field networks, and multipoint data transmission systems.
