The ADM2491E is a high-speed, ESD-protected, half-/full-duplex iCoupler Isolated RS-485 Transceiver from Analog Devices. The transceiver meets the ANSI TIA/EIA RS-485-A-1998 and ISO 8482: 1987(E) standards, supports 5V or 3.3V operation, has high common-mode transient immunity, and features an open-circuit, fail-safe design. It can operate in a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The ADM2491E is an isolated RS‑485/RS‑422 transceiver that can operate in half‑ or full‑duplex mode. It offers up to 16 Mbps data rate, +8 kV ESD protection, and supports both 3 V and 5 V logic supplies.
The device is supplied in a 16‑lead wide‑body SOIC package, is rated for –40 °C to +85 °C operation, and meets UL 1577 and VDE 0884 safety approvals. Up to 32 transceivers may be placed on a single bus.
